Identity of Murder Victim Released

LIBERTY, November 24, 2004 - Liberty County Sheriff’s Department has now identified the victim of a homicide discovered over the weekend.

The results of an autopsy conducted at the Jefferson County Medical Examiners Office in Beaumont have identified the man as Bernardino Banos of Waco Street in Cleveland. He was 30 years.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate Mr. Banos died as a result of numerous stab wounds.

As reported earlier, two Cleveland area men are in custody charged with murder in the death of Mr. Banos.
