Linda Bryant Retires after 23 Years of Service

DAYTON, November 28, 2004 - Linda Bryant dispatcher with the Dayton Police Department, retired from her position after 23 years. She began working at Dayton PD when the department would close it's doors at midnight and transfer phone calls to the Liberty County Sheriffs Department whose dispatchers would then dispatch Dayton officers to their calls. She worked for 4 different police chiefs in her many years with Dayton PD; and taught numerous trainees to be dispatchers.



The Dayton Police Department and the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department hosted a retirement party in her honor at the Dayton fire station on Sunday.
