Home Destroyed by Fire on CR 2066 VIDEO STORY in QuickTime HARDIN, December 7, 2004 Around 1:20 PM on Tuesday the Hardin Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fully involved house fire on CR 2066 about one mile east of SH 146 north of Hardin.
When fire fighters arrived the small wood frame house was fully involved and the manufactured home on the east side of the house was igniting. Troublesome to firefighters was a 50-gallon propane tank on the front porch of the house that ignited.
Elvis and Regina Fregia and their two children occupied the house. No one was home at the time of the fire according to neighbors living adjacent to the structure. The Hull Daisetta Volunteer fire department responded to this fire as well and Brian Smith, a Hull Daisetta Fireman injured his knee when he stepped off the front porch of the burning structure. One Hull Daisetta Volunteer Fireman sustained an injury to his knee when he stepped off the front porch of the burning structure. At press time the cause of this fire remains under investigation.
