Suspect in Galveston County Homicide Investigation Arrested LIBERTY, December 2, 2004 Since yesterday afternoon Liberty County Sheriffs Department investigators have worked round the clock assisting the Galveston County Sheriffs Department in the homicide investigation reported earlier this week of Daniel Kohlhofer. Kohlhofer was found dead on Sunday morning in Galveston County near Caplen. His pickup truck was found on Wolf Road near the Harris County line in rural Liberty County. The investigation into this matter started yesterday at the location of where the pickup was found using tracking dogs from Fort Bend County. Information developed in the case led them to Crosby and ultimately to Mont Belvieu, where James Early Cutsinger, a white male, age 28 of Crosby was arrested at the Crystal Inn Motel in Mont Belvieu, this morning. Custinger was arrested on two outstanding warrants from Harris County and has been charged with Capitol Murder in the death of Daniel Kohlhofer. Cutsinger remains in the Galveston County Jail on $500,000 bond. The investigation into this homicide that led to a timely arrest of a suspect was a multi-agency effort working together according to Sgt. Investigator Chip Fairchild of the Liberty County Sheriffs Department. Mark Ellington
