Murder Victims were Decapitated

LEESVILLE, LA. November 17, 2004 – James Smith and Edward Jones, murder victims of Leesville, LA, were decapitated after they were killed according to authorities. Their heads and hands were removed in what is thought to have been an attempt to prevent identification of the victims.

Both victims were shot once in the chest according to Vernon Parrish, LA Authorities.

Leonard Lewis and Jeremy Blanchard of Leesville, LA were arrested in connection with these murders and face two counts of first-degree murder.

The murders were the result of an ongoing feud between Jones, Lewis and Blanchard.
Blanchard and his accomplice, thought to be responsible for this double homicide, came to visit family in the Daisetta area after the victims were murdered some time on November 2, 2004.

It is thought this case will be presented to a grand jury.
