Family Home Destroyed by Fire

DAYTON, November 24, 2004 – At 2:03 PM on Wednesday afternoon the fire alarm sounded in Dayton summoning Firefighters to a home on North Cleveland Street near Kay Street in Dayton next to the car wash. Firefighters responded with a second truck at 4:24 PM to battle the blaze.

According to Dayton Firefighters the fire started in a rear bedroom of the house and there was no one home at the time.

North Cleveland was closed to traffic while Firefighters brought the fire in the one-story wood frame house under control.

The house was the home of James Little and Jean Roberts and four children, a 16 and 15 year-old girl, and a 10 and 14 year-old boy.

According to Jean’s brother the contents of the home was not insured.
