Three Hogs Killed in One Vehicle Accident

LIBERTY, December 15, 2004 - Shortly after 8:30 PM on Wednesday a silver, late model, Chevy Impala was traveling south on FM 1011 near Sand Dune Road when its’ driver, Bobbie Morris Dickson age 73 of Liberty saw approximately five large hogs in the roadway. According to City of Liberty Police Officer Johnny David, the driver stated she could not react quick enough to avoid the group of hogs.

Three of the hogs were struck and killed and the Chevy Impala suffered significant front-end damage and a broken windshield. The air bags in the vehicle deployed during the collision.

Mrs. Dixon was badly shaken in the accident and City of Liberty EMS responded to the scene. However, it was not necessary for her to be transported by ambulance to the hospital.
