Levee Breach at Moss Bluff MOSS BLUFF, November 28, 2004 - It was around 2:00 PM on Sunday afternoon when word was received that the level bordering the Trinity River along CR 1333 protecting Lake Granada was breached by floodwaters.
The Moss Bluff Volunteer Fire Department quickly assembled manpower and material to start filling sand bags to shore up the level. The Hull Daisetta Volunteer Fire Department was summoned to assist.
Saturday the lake release at the Livingston Dam had been at 48,200 CFS and on Sunday the Dam Release had been reduced to 41, 600 CFS.
