Arrest Made as the Result of Federal Drug Indictments

LIBERTY, December 29, 2005 - During the Christmas Holidays, officers of the Chambers Liberty Counties Narcotics Task Force and DPS Narcotics assisted by Dayton and Liberty Police Departments, served outstanding warrants on Clint LaRive age 22 of Liberty in the parking lot of the Burger King on US 90.

These warrants are the result of Federal Indictments on drug charges that are the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation, which started in April of 2005.

The charges against LaRive include Possession of Cocaine with intent to deliver as well as his previous arrest on drug related charges on May 23, 2005.

The investigation revealed LaRive was a supplier of drugs to his contemporaries in Liberty and surrounding communities and was indicted as a coconspirator in a drug distribution operation which came to a close earlier this year with the arrest of Erwin Semien.
