Democrats Meet Early on Monday

LIBERTY, December 6, 2005 - Activity started early on Monday morning at the Democratic Headquarters on Trinity Street in Liberty as Liberty County Democrats signed up to run for elected office.

Those who were completing the necessary paper work gathered around the conference table to complete their work.

Left to Right, Commissioner Norman Brown, Commissioner Lee Groce and Justice ot the Peace Burl Thomas.

Incumbent office holders as well as newcomers to public officered gathered to begin the process of public service.

Five people signed up yesterday to run for the position of Justice of the Peace Precinct 3.

According to Democratic Chairperson, Nancy Archer the following candidates were present at yesterday’s meeting signing up as candidates for public office in the Democratic primary.
