LifeShare Makes Urgent Appeal to Donors

LIBERTY, November 16, 2005 - LifeShare Blood Centers is experiencing a VERY LOW BLOOD SUPPLY due to Hurricane Rita and the increased usage by patients and a lower than normal turnout at area blood drives. LifeShare Blood Centers is struggling to collect and maintain an adequate blood supple to service out 11 area hospitals throughout Southeast Texas. LifeShare supplies the blood for the
Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital.

Many people know that when you donate blood it goes to patients in need, but
what you may not know is how great the need is at this point in time and
will be greater throughout the Thanksgiving holidays. TYPE O AND B BLOOD
ARE SPECIFICALLY NEEDED. WE ARE URGING EVERY ELIGIBLE DONOR TO ANSWER THE CALL AND GIVE BLOOD at a scheduled blood drive.

The next blood drive will be on Dec. 3rd. at St Joseph's Catholic Church on
South Cleveland St. in Dayton. Times will be from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Dec. 8th
FLNB from 1-7 p.m. or at the LifeShare Blood Center located at 4305 Laurel Street in Beaumont. LifeShare is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
