Chevron Store Victim of Robbery LIBERTY, December 5, 2005 – The City of Liberty Police Department reports that the Chevron Convenience Store on US 90 at FM 563 was robbed around 3:20 AM on Monday. According to Officer Michael Doyle a black, male with a white cloth on his head and white sleeveless T-Shirt came up to the counter, brandished a broomstick and demanded money from the register. The clerk was then instructed to place the money in a white, plastic bag the suspect was holding. About $280.00 was taken and the suspect fled on foot. Information from the investigation underway by City of Liberty Police indicates that the suspect and an accomplice were scene circling the store about a half hour prior to the robbery.
