Driver Crashes on North Main Street, Liberty
LIBERTY, November 24, 2005 - Thursday night was terribly foggy, when Pedro Alfaro, age 54 of Hull, was traveling North on North Main Street. A witness behind Alfaro noticed the red Ford F-150 pickup loose control, cross the ditch, running through a fence, collided with a tree in the field and roledl over on its’ side across from the North Main Baptist Church.
The Liberty Fire Department was responsible for handling a fuel spill from the truck and an ambulance was dispatched to the scene.

According to bilingual Officer Johnny David with the City of Liberty Police Department, Alfaro was not wearing a seat belt and suffered a cut on the upper part of his head. He refused medical treatment at the scene. According to Officer David, Alfaro had drunk about 6, 12 oz. beers and was on his way home at the time of the accident. |
Alfaro was given a field sobriety test at the scene and taken into custody of charges of Driving While Intoxicated.
