Man Kills Himself after Assaulting Stepdaughter and Shooting Stepsons CLEVELAND, November 5, 2005 - It was around 6:00 AM on Saturday morning when the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call reporting an alleged sexual assault occurring on CR 3312 approximately 4 miles south of Cleveland on FM 1010. While in route LCSO deputies received reports that the alleged actor in the sexual assault was shooting a gun. As Deputies entered the subdivision they located a vehicle with a 15 and 17-year-old Hispanic males inside. Both had been shot and deputies immediately summoned medical help for them. These two gunshot victims were the alleged actor’s stepsons. While caring for the gunshot teenagers, deputies were notified that the actor in this incident had driven about a mile to a neighbors house where he was found dead of the self-inflicted gunshot wound from a 25 caliber handgun. According to Captain Chip Fairchild of the Liberty County Criminal Investigation Division showed the actor in the incident had physically assaulted his stepdaughter, walked down the roadway to a motor home where he shot his two stepsons with a 45-caliber handgun. He then walked back to his house where the assault had taken place, retrieved a 25 caliber handgun and drove about a mile to a neighbors house where he was found dead having suffered a self inflicted gunshot wound. Justice of the Peace Glen Pruitt conducted an inquest into the man’s death and ordered an autopsy. The 17-year-old stepson suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Both he and his 15-year-old brother were transported by air ambulance to Houston’s Hermann Hospital. The 17-year-old remains in serious condition and the 15-year-old is in fair condition. The wife of the actor and mother of the children was in Mexico caring for a relative and has yet to be reached with the news to today’s events. Names of the actor and victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
