Major Accident on FM 563
LIBERTY, December 7, 2006 - A major accident sending two people to the hospital by ambulance took place on FM 563 near DeBlanc Road about 6 miles south of Liberty around 11:30 AM on Thursday.
A Chevy Caprice traveling north on FM 563 lost control leaving the roadway to the right, then skidded across the southbound lane, knocking down a road sign as it entered the ditch and rolled over.
The Moss Bluff Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene assisting Liberty County EMS with the accident victims.
The driver of the vehicle identified as Lucille Hyatt Seale age 78 of Liberty and her husband Frank were transported to the hospital.
According to DPS Trooper Mary Phillips, Lucille Seale failed to control her speed loosing control of her vehicle.
Seale was issued a citation for Failure to Control Speed.
