Wesley N. Hinch Announces His Intent to Run for County Attorney DAYTON, December 5, 2007 - Wesley N. Hinch, local attorney, has announced his intent to seek the office of Liberty County Attorney in the 2008 election and has filed for a position on the Republican Party Primary Ballot.
Wesley N. Hinch and wife, Kim in Austin Wes, a lifelong resident of Liberty, is the son of local educators Dr. Nylds and Mary Hinch and is married to Kim Toler of Tarkington Prairie. Wes, Kim, and their two children, Hannah and Jack, reside in Liberty and are members of The First Baptist Church. In addition, Wes, an Eagle Scout, serves as den leader with Cub Scout Pack 55. Wes is also a member of the Liberty Rotary Club and serves on the Board of the Liberty County Teachers Federal Credit Union. Wes graduated from Liberty High School in 1988 and received his Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in 1992. After teaching English as a Second Language and Special Education in Hull-Daisetta I.S.D., Wes attended Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis and received his law degree in 1996. Following law school, Wes began his practice in construction law with Bechtel Corporation, first in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and later in Portland, Oregon. In 2000, Wesley returned to Liberty County where he clerked for the Texas Ninth-Circuit Court of Appeals and developed a civil trial practice with the Beaumont law firms of Germer, Bernsen and Gertz, L.L.P. and The Ferguson Firm. In 2004, Wesley established a general law practice in Liberty County and currently maintains offices in Cleveland and Dayton. Wesley is licensed in all Texas Courts and the United States Federal Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
