Accident in Front of 770 Club RAYWOOD, December 30, 2007 - At around 11:00 PM on Saturday Guevova Juan Izaguime age 61 of Raywood and his wife were traveling north on FM 770 on their way home. As they neared the 770 Club, a white Ford pickup pulled out of the parking lot onto FM 770 directly in their path. The gray Mitsubishi sedan they were driving hit the pickup broadside sending it into the ditch on the west side of the roadway.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the collision and the rear wheel on the Ford pickup was found some 50 yards north of where the accident occurred.
Izaguime’s wife suffered facial injuries in the crash and was transported by Liberty County EMS to Liberty Dayton Community Hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the Ford pickup climbed a barbed wire fence and fled across a field on foot from the accident scene according to Izaguime. Izaguime works as a ranch hand on a horse ranch in China, TX. According to DPS Trooper Jamie Neault the driver of the Ford pickup faces charges of Fleeing the Scene of an Injury accident and a warrant will be issued for his arrest.
