Linda Jamison Speaker at LCGS LIBERTY, December 5, 2007 - Linda Jamison, local genealogist, family historian and current Registrar for the Libertad Chapter of DAR, presented the November 20th program at the regular meeting of the Liberty County Genealogical Society Meeting on documenting and sourcing family trees. Approximately 25 members attended and learned about the importance of documents and sources in family research and how to locate and obtain proofs. Facts contained in family trees contain dates of birth, marriages, and death, each of which should be documented; “family histories are not true until properly proven,” stated Jamison in her lecture. The Liberty County Genealogical Society meets the third Tuesday of each month in the upstairs meeting room of the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center at 10:00 a.m. There will be a Christmas Luncheon for all LCGS members on December 18th, at 11:00 at the home of Bob and Linda Jamison.
