Two Vehicle Accident on Wallisville Road

LIBERTY, May 8, 2008 - A two-vehicle accident occurred in the 100 block of Wallisville Road shortly after 6:00 PM on Thursday involving a Ford Mustang and a Buick sedan.

According to Officer Aaron Venegas of the City of Liberty Police Department the Mustang, driven by Wesley Ziegler age 48 of Hardin was traveling south when the northbound Buick attempted a U-turn in the roadway. The Mustang took evasive action to the right but could not avoid the accident.

The Buick was driven by Jacquie Kitchell Cottrell age 75 of Liberty who lives nearby.

Cottrell was transported by Liberty Dayton Community Hospital by City of Liberty EMS with minor injuries.

According to Officer Venegas, Cottrell will receive a citation for making an Unsafe Turn.
