Two Ejected in Dayton Accident

DAYTON, April 8, 2008 - A major accident in a construction zone on US 90 at FM 1413 west of Dayton occurred around 5:20 PM on Tuesday.

According to Dayton Police Officer Chris Daniels, a white Mazda SUV pulled up to US 90 from FM 1413 and was struck by an eastbound Minivan.

The driver of the minivan was Kimberly Davis of Dayton. She was injured in the accident that tore the front right wheel from her vehicle and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The two, rear seat passengers in the SUV, Carlos Aquirre age 21 of Dayton and Renaldo Aquino age 35 were transported by Liberty County EMS to East Houston Medical Center after being ejected from the vehicle through the rear window.

According to Officer Daniels, the driver of the SUV Francisco Aquino age 23 of Dayton received citations for No Insurance and No Driver’s License.
