Major Accident on FM 787

TARKINGTON, April 3, 2008 - For the second night in a row, North Liberty County and Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a major accident on FM787.

Around 2:30 AM, both fire departments were dispatched to the vicinity of FM787 and FM223 to a report of a truck rolled over with the driver trapped inside.

North Liberty County VFD arrived at the accident location, which was on FM787 approximately 1-1/2 miles east of FM223, and used the vehicle extrication tools to remove the driver from the vehicle.

Tarkington VFD responded to assist, providing lights for the rescue and investigation. FM787 was closed for around an hour as the scene was cleared.
