Two Arrested for Cocaine Possession during Traffic Stop
LIBERTY, May 4, 2008 - Officer Frank Longoria stopped a car on US 90 after observing the vehicle failing to maintain a single lane of traffic around 10:00 PM on Sunday.
Four Hispanic men from Beaumont traveling east on US 90 occupied the vehicle.
Longoria observed the men’s nervous behavior and called for assistance. The vehicle was stopped in the 400 block of West Main Street (US 90) in Ames.

Longoria requested permission to search Hector Aleman age 25 of Beaumont and received his consent. Found in his possession was approximately 1 gram of a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine. |

Another occupant of the vehicle Raphael Martinez De La Torre age 25 of Beaumont was also searched and found in his possession was one half gram of a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine. |
The seat covers in the car were DARE T-Shirts stretched over the back of the front seats.

Both Aleman and De La Torre were taken into custody and transported to the Liberty County Jail charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
