Witness Collapses in Courtroom

LIBERTY, April 21, 2008 – A witness testifying in Judge Don Taylor’s Courtroom today at the Liberty County Courthouse collapsed while giving his testimony in a Probate Case involving a contested Will.

According to Courthouse Security Officers, Hugh Bishop, the man put his face in his hands while on the witness stand and stated they he must get out of here and lye down.

The man lay down behind the witness stand and EMS was summoned.

The City of Liberty Ambulance responded to the courthouse and transported him to the helipad where Life Flight landed and flew the man to Houston for treatment.

The man was identified as Harold Dean Killingsworth age 79 of Splendora, TX.

Mr. Killingsworth was not a party to the lawsuit, only a witness.
