Two Injured in Major Accident LIBERTY, April 4, 2008 - A major accident that sent one adult and one small child to area hospital occurred on US 90 just east of the SH 146 Bypass around 4:30 PM on Friday.
According to Officer Chad Johnson a westbound, Red, Dodge Pickup failed to control speed on the wet road and crashed into a second red, dodge pickup pushing it into a tan pickup.
The first red pickup was driven by Marcus James, Jr. age 18 of Liberty. It was his son, Marcus James, III age one that suffered a head injury and was transported by ground ambulance to Houston’s Hermann Hospital.
The driver of the second Dodge pickup, Mr. Wilkerson in his late 30’s of Liberty, suffered a head laceration and was transported by City of Liberty Ambulance to Liberty Dayton Community Hospital. The driver of the third pickup Mr. Garcia in his late 30’s of Houston was not injured. According to Officer Johnson, Marcus James, Jr. received a citation for Failure to Control Speed.
