Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest Dayton

DAYTON, April 10, 2008 - Around 10:10 pm Wednesday night Dayton Police Officer Chris Daniels stopped a vehicle that was speeding through Dayton on Hwy 90.

The vehicle pulled into the Racetrack Gas Station near SH 146.

The driver was identified as Michael Payne age 30 of Baytown. Officers discovered that he was driving without a license.

Officer Daniels conduct a search of Michael Payne finding a baggie containing a green leafy substance thought to be about one ounce of marijuana.

Payne was taken into custody and arrested for Possession of Marijuana.
