Jim Sterling Addresses Liberty County Genealogical Society

LIBERTY, April 3, 2008 - Jim Sterling, (US Navy, Retired) presented an interesting history of the early maps of Texas and the United States to the Liberty County Genealogical Society.

He also brought along copies of regional water charts, and explained how to read them from both a ship or a plane. The presenation was very lively, and enjoyed by all present.

The next meeting of the LCGS will be a joint meeting with Libertad Chapter, NSDAR, and will be held April 26 at 10 am at the Price Daniel Meeting room behind the Partlow House at 2131 Grand Avenue. This meeting/workshop will include presentations on Brick Walls by Nancy Brandli, and Migration Trails by Linda Jamison.
