LCSO Launches Investigation of Sexual Predator LIBERTY, April 8, 2008 - We reported on the arrest of a sexual predator living in the Indian Ridge Subdivision off FM 1409 yesterday. Kenneth D. Stewart is alleged to have kidnapped and assaulted a 7-year-old girl from Humble and then dropped her off in Baytown.

US Marshall’s arrested Kenneth D. Stewart age 25 of Dayton assisted by Liberty County Sheriff’s Department Deputies.

According to Sheriff’s Department sources, Stewart was living with his mother and Officers’ suspicions were aroused during the arrest concerning Stewart’s possible involvement with a 2-year-old neighbor due to the reactions of the child during his arrest.

The small child was being baby sit in Stewart’s mother’s home while he was living there.

Late today, Corporal Hugh Bishop in a statement to the media announced that the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department was launching an investigation to determine if Stewart had inappropriate contact with the 2-year-old here in Liberty County.
