House Fire in Westlake

WESTLAKE, May 4, 2008 - Around 8:15 PM on Sunday Westlake Firefighters arrived off CR 4431 to find a house, travel trailer and a truck that were abandoned a few months ago fully engulfed in flames.

According to Westlake fire Chief Wilbert Winkelmann the abandoned home appeared to be set on fire intentionally, however, further investigation will be necessary to determine the exact cause of the fire.

The last homeowners were Shelia and Billy Hall. They had recently moved out and at press time it is not known who the present owners are or if the Halls still owned the home.
